Affiliate Disclosure

The short version

Some links on WealthR may be affiliate links. If you sign up for or buy a product through one, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. It never changes which products we feature or what we recommend.

Where a page contains affiliate links, we label it clearly and upfront so you always know. We only ever feature things we'd be happy to use ourselves, and our editorial opinions are always our own.

01What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a normal link to another company's product or service that carries a tracking code. If you click it and then sign up or make a purchase, that company may pay WealthR a referral commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone there directly — the commission comes out of the company's marketing budget, not your pocket.

02How we label them

UK advertising rules (the CAP Code, enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority) require affiliate links to be obviously identifiable as advertising — upfront, and without you having to click anything to find out. So on any page or post that contains affiliate links, you'll see a clear notice near the top, like this:

Ad · Affiliate Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you sign up through them, WealthR may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — it never changes what we recommend.

Individual affiliate links may also be marked. If a page has no such notice, it contains no affiliate links.

03It never changes our recommendations

Our reviews, comparisons, calculators and guidance are written independently and reflect our honest view. We don't rank, feature or recommend a product because it pays a commission, and we don't accept payment to change a verdict. Plenty of the tools and services we point to don't pay us anything at all — we mention them because they're genuinely useful.

If a commercial relationship ever influenced our editorial coverage, that would defeat the entire point of WealthR. Your trust is the asset; we're not trading it.

04What we don't do

  • No regulated financial product promotions. WealthR is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not carry affiliate links that constitute regulated financial promotions or credit broking — for example, links to apply for specific credit cards, loans, mortgages, pensions or investment products. Where we mention such products, it is general information only, never a recommendation, and you should compare options independently or speak to an FCA-authorised adviser.
  • No advice. Nothing on WealthR — affiliate-linked or not — is financial, investment, tax or legal advice or a personal recommendation.
  • No selling your data. Affiliate tracking does not involve sharing your personal data with the merchant beyond the standard click referral. See our Privacy Policy.
  • No hidden links. We won't bury affiliate links in pages that aren't labelled.

05Current status

As of 18 June 2026, WealthR carries no affiliate links. This policy is published in advance so that our approach is clear and consistent the moment we introduce any. We'll update this date and label the relevant pages when that changes.
